Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

1. Spirit of the policy

HiveClaw is a tool for getting work done with multiple AI agents in coordination. We trust customers to use it like a serious business tool. This AUP exists to keep the platform usable for everyone — especially Starter customers sharing infrastructure — not to police every keystroke.

2. Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Generate or distribute content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or in the jurisdictions where it will be received: child sexual abuse material, content that incites violence, fraud, malware, phishing kits.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages (spam) on any channel. The technical thresholds that trigger auto-suspend are documented in our abuse-response runbook; staying well under them is the customer’s responsibility.
  • Probe, scan, or attempt to break the platform’s tenancy isolation, authentication, or rate limits. Discovery of a vulnerability should be reported to security@hiveclaw.ai; exploitation will be treated as a breach.
  • Use the Service to compete with HiveClaw — specifically, to build a derivative agent-orchestration product on top of our infrastructure.
  • Train another AI model on Service output without our written consent.
  • Operate accounts on behalf of unidentified third parties (resold seats are fine; anonymized fronts are not).

[Counsel: confirm carve-outs for security research, journalism, and adversarial testing. The current draft is conservative; tighten or loosen per jurisdictional norms.]

3. Per-tier resource limits

The Starter tier has the following per-tenant rate limits, enforced in the runtime middleware (source: tier_channel_rate_limits table):

  • Dashboard interactions: 100 / second
  • Email: 200 / day
  • SMS: 100 / day
  • Voice calls: 30 / day
  • WhatsApp / Telegram / Slack / Discord: 1,000 / day each

Sustained operation at >10× the per-channel baseline triggers automatic suspension while we ask you what’s going on (Phase 13 §13.8 anomaly detector). This is a safety net, not a target — if you need higher limits, upgrade to Priority or Dedicated.

4. Enforcement

Suspected violations may result in: a request for clarification, throttling, suspension of the project or tenant, or termination of the account in the case of clear abuse. We will tell you what triggered the action and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond, except where doing so would compromise an ongoing investigation or third-party safety.

5. Reporting abuse by a HiveClaw user

If a HiveClaw-driven agent has contacted you in a way that violates this policy, please email abuse@hiveclaw.ai with the message you received and any identifying information you have. We will investigate and respond in line with our support SLA (72h for Starter-tier sources).

6. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to active customers at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance.
